Would you sell Declan Rice for 90 million if it would be reinvested in the team?
That´s alot of money and could fund a replacement, another CM and a right back...

What do you think?

I don't trust them reinvesting the PEA money, so no, I wouldn't want him sold

I wouldn't sell him for £90mn if it could be reinvested in giving me a playboy lifestyle.

(If it actually came to that, I might be open to persuasion...)

I remember when Redknapp justified the Rio sale with

A) it will be reinvested
B) the market is inflated and will down turn soon so it’s a deal you can’t refuse

How did that work out?

Re: Would you sell Declan Rice for 90 million if it would be reinvested in the team?
I would never sell him, because the two bobs would never reinvest the majority of that money in the squad, they are not ambitious enough, they are happy at mid table collecting the Sky money, would probably invest it in buildings at Chadwell Heath and Rush Green to increase value of the club increasing their worth of shares for when they sell up in a few years.

Re: Would you sell Declan Rice for 90 million if it would be reinvested in the team?
No because it continues the precedent that we are arehe a club which doesn't aspire to be any better than we have been historically.

Of course he ain't worth £90m but it's not about the price tag it's changing the mindset innit?

I’d keep him and buy 3 more £90m players.

Bit of a moot point really because our owners would sell him for much less should a bigger club come for him.

Re: Would you sell Declan Rice for 90 million if it would be reinvested in the team?
He'll be sold for less, he'll want to go and like others before him we'll be forced to accept what is on offer.

Of course you don't sell your best players but neither can you keep players who don't want to be here. He's happy currently but when a big club comes in with a salary we have no chance of competing with then he is gone.

Would I sell him for $90m. I already am trying, Have sent a bunch of emails and texts to everyone in Jamaica asking them for their bank accounts information.

Depends on whether he wants to leave.

'tis the way of football these days, if you haven't noticed.

He's here, he's an important part of the team and he's testament to the fact we have a decent manager.

Good enough for me at the moment.

He’ll go. If not the end of this season, then the next. It’s how it is. We all know that.

I'd sell him for half that, he's overrated.

He will go when he's ready.

All this criticism about how good he is - he's still 20 isn't he. He's only going to get stronger for the next few years, which will help him enormously in the position he's in. His positional awareness is only going to get better as well.

He's not the best in the business yet, but it getting better all the time.

Absolutely not.

No way on earth all 90m would be put into the team.

The majority would most likely end up in the directors pockets

No it would be Rio all over again...

Re: Would you sell Declan Rice for 90 million if it would be reinvested in the team?
I don't doubt we could reinvest GBP90m soundly as long as we had someone like Pelle in charge.

What if he wasn't in charge, and how would you feel about Rice scoring against us for Barcelona?

Re: Would you sell Declan Rice for 90 million if it would be reinvested in the team?
Exactly - Rio all over. We want to progress we keep him. We’ll not get someone of his talent, his age, on his salary to replace him. We’d have to be lucky with a punt on someone (who goes under the radar these days?) or pay way over the odds (especially with a team knowing we have money to burn) for someone not nearly as good.
He is in an improving team & club, with a respected manager, playing good football and now playing regularly for England aged 20. What more does he want? “Champions League football” ? That is just an excuse for more money.
He’ll go for sure but lets hope Nobes and co convince him to stay and progress with us at least for another year.
